Dr Somana has been in private practice for over 15 years and has been interested in digital practice for over a decade. Dr Louise Brown is recognised as one of Australia’s most highly qualified and experienced specialist clinical dentist. She is the only triple registered specialist in Australia - in the fields of dento-maxillofacial radiology, periodontics and public health dentistry. She has combined academic interests and private practice across all three fields over her busy career. In 2015, she established Teledent, which provides online radiology reporting to dental practitioners and general radiology practices throughout Australia. Dr Simone Belobrov is an oral medicine specialist and has been a dental practitioner for almost 20 years. She completely her oral medicine training in 2021 after completing her PhD at the University of Melbourne in the field of oral medicine in 2018, with the focus on OSCC. Simone works at multiple places including private practice in Hawthorn East, public health at the Royal Dental Hospital Melbourne, and The Royal Melbourne Hospital immunobullous and oral mucosal service. Simone is also a Senior Lecturer at The Melbourne Dental School. Dr Praveen Nathaniel is a specialist prosthodontist in full-time private practice in Glen Waverley and Moonee Ponds.

Wessam is an experienced general dentist in Melbourne. Dr James Brichko obtained his Bachelor of Dental Science and Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Endodontics from Melbourne University. James is a clinical tutor at both the University of Melbourne and La Trobe University as well as a Member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, committee member for the Australian Society of Endodontology and the treasurer of the Asia Pacific Endodontic Confederation. James is currently in private endodontic practice in Dandenong.

Kunal is a specialist prosthodontist in Collins St., Melbourne. He teaches on the specialist training program at Melbourne University and has a keen interest in conservative dentistry.

Following his dental training at the University of Melbourne (2001) and private dental practice for several years, Daniel undertook his specialty training completing a Clinical Doctorate in Endodontics (DCD) at the University of Melbourne (2011). He has also achieved Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS) (2013).

Dr. Artika Soma obtained her B.D.Sc. from the University of Otago, NZ in 2004 and a Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry (DClinDent) specialising in Endodontics from the University of Otago, NZ in 2009.

Since graduation, Artika worked at the Dental Hospital and multi-specialist practice. She was involved in teaching in the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Otago, NZ and the La Trobe University in Bendigo. Artika is a Member of the ASE and ANZAE.

Dr Alex Yusupov is a Specialist Orthodontist in private practice in Armadale. Over the last 10 years, Dr Yusupov has implemented 3D digital technology into his practice with utilisation of IO scanners, printers, CBCT radiology and various treatment platforms like Trios 3 Shape and SureSmile. Dr Yusupov is a Member of ADA, ASO and a Committee Member of ASOFRE. He is a part time demonstrator at University of Melbourne. He is a and instructor and an Advisory Board Member of SureSmile. His professional interests include Dental Photography, Inter-Disciplinary Treatments and 3D-assisted design and manufacture.

Michael Yoon is a specialist endodontist and is in full-time private practice at ‘Melbourne Endodontics’. He completed both his general dental and specialist endodontic training at the University of Melbourne and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.

Michael is a past-president of the Australian Society of Endodontology (Vic Branch) and serves as a committee member of the RACDS Victorian and Tasmanian regional committee. He is regularly involved in lecturing and clinical endodontic teaching of dental students.

Dr Bevan Chong completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Otago in 2005 and his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Prosthodontics) at the University of Sydney in 2013. Since completing his prosthodontic training, he has been involved in teaching prosthodontics at graduate and postgraduate levels at the University of Sydney. Dr Kirthi Kosalram graduated in 2000 (India) and received her Doctorate in Prosthodontics (DCD) from the University of Sydney (2013). Kirthi is a fellow of the RACDS (general) and a member of ICP, MRACDS (Pros), AOS, APS (Federal representative-past) and the ITI. Kirthi practices the full range of Prosthodontics in Kew, Victoria. Kirthi has a keen interest in fixed and implant prosthodontics. She actively lectures and conducts workshops on implantology and fixed prosthodontics. Kirthi directs the ITI Melbourne Inner East study group, is a registered ITI speaker and an ITI Fellow.

Since graduating from Adelaide’s Dental School in 2009, KT has worked clinically in New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania, the Northern Territory and Victoria, in a mix of public and private sector practice. She has been involved in academic and clinical teaching at LaTrobe’s Rural Health School and the University of Melbourne’s Dental School, and occasionally examines at the Australian Dental Council. Averil carried out her undergraduate dental training at the University of Otago, New Zealand, graduating with Distinction in 2001. Averil completed her specialist training in Endodontics at the University of Melbourne in 2009 and currently works in specialist private practice in the Melbourne CBD.

Born in Vancouver, Canada. Dr Geoff discovered an interest in dentistry at the young age of fourteen. Dr Geoff completed his bachelor of Dentistry at the University of Sydney in 2006. He then spent the next four years in the United States having completed additional post-graduate training before returning to his hometown of Sydney. Dr Geoff is a principal general dentist. He is actively involved in operating two dental practices in Penrith and Riverstone, NSW. He has a keen interest in cosmetic, restorative, orthodontic and CADCAM dentistry along with smile design. Phillippe Zimet is the immediate past Lead in Endodontics at the La Trobe University School of Dentistry and Oral Health. Phillippe is currently the Adjunct Professor in the Department of Rural Health at Latrobe University. Phillippe edited the Systematic Operating Procedures manual for infection control and occupational health and safety for the Australian Dental Association (Victorian Branch). Phillippe is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, Academy of Dentistry International, International College of Dentists and Pierre Fauchard Academy. He has published, and lectured nationally and internationally in many aspects of endodontics.

He is a Past President of the Australian Society of Endodontology Inc as well as the Asian Pacific Endodontic Confederation. In 2004 he was awarded the ADA (VB) Inc Dentistry Achievement Award for services to the Dental Profession. In 2014 Phillippe was accepted as an Honorary Life Member of the Australian Society of Endodontology (VB). In 2016, he was inaugurated as a Foundation member International Association for Dental Traumatology. Past clinical appointments include Consultant Endodontist at Monash Medical Centre and Senior Fellow at the University of Melbourne.

Dr Susan Wise graduated as a dentist from the University of Melbourne in 1994. She worked as a general dentist for 5 years before moving to Brisbane in 2000. Susan studied periodontics a the University of Queensland and was awarded a Masters of Dental Science (Periodontics) in 2002. Susan's Specialist Periodontal practice is in Melbourne.

Dr Andrew See is a highly-trained cosmetic and implant dentist with over 20 years of experience. His practice is focused primarily on aesthetic rehabilitation, implantology and hard and soft tissue augmentation. He completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours from the University of Sydney in 2003 and then went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Dental Implantology and a Masters Degree with Distinction in Aesthetic Dentistry through the prestigious Kings College London. Dr See has completed his Fellowship by primary and secondary examination for The Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS) achieving numerous commendations for outstanding performance. He has also been awarded Fellowship into the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners in the UK.

Dr George Alexopoulos graduated BDSc from The University of Melbourne in 1997 and worked in a variety of private and public dental settings.  He was awarded an MBA from Monash University in 2003, a Master of Science (Oral Implantology) from the J.W. Goethe University of Frankfurt in 2014, and a PhD from The University of Melbourne in 2021. He has an interest in the fields oral implantology and oral tissue regeneration and is currently the Clinical Science and Education Manager for Geistlich Pharma Australia/New Zealand; a role that enables him to continue pursuing his interest in oral regeneration, research, and education. Dr. Clarence Tam is originally from Toronto, Canada, where she completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery and General Practice Residency in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario and the University of Toronto, respectively. Clarence’s practice has a focus on restorative and cosmetic dentistry, and she strives to provide consistently exceptional care with each patient. Dr Susan Hinckfuss is a Specialist Paediatric Dentist working in Melbourne and Berwick. Susan completed undergraduate training at the University of Melbourne and worked as a general dentist for several years prior to undertaking specialist training at The University of Melbourne and The Royal Children’s Hospital. Following completion of her specialist training Susan moved to the USA for 3 years holding a position as an Associate Clinical Professor at the Minnesota Dental School. Since returning to Australia in 2010 Susan has worked in private specialist practice. Susan performs all aspects of paediatric dentistry including the management of early childhood caries, dental trauma and complex dental conditions such as enamel defects. Susan also has special a interest in the management of anxious children and children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Hossam graduated from Ain Shams University (Cairo, Egypt) in 2006, and worked in both public and private sectors before relocating to Australia in 2010. Hossam obtained a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in 2015, and graduated with a Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics from the University of Melbourne in 2018. His research project centered on the use of novel CAD-CAM materials in full arch implant dentistry, and was published in the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants.

Hossam now works at private specialist practices in Moonee Ponds and Melbourne CBD. He enjoys ongoing involvement within the academic field as a lecturer and clinical supervisor at the University of Melbourne’s dental school, where he is also the coordinator of the implant component for DDS students and the academic lead of CPD. In collaboration with Melbourne University and the International Team for Implantology (ITI), Hossam delivers CPD programs that educate general dental practitioners on Prosthodontic topics.

He is an active member of the ITI, the Australian Dental Association (ADA) and the Australian Osseointegration Society (AOS). Hossam further serves as a reviewer for the Australian Dental Journal, a committee member for the Australian Prosthodontic Society (APS), and is currently the Victorian representative within its Federal Committee.

Graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1997 with a BDS and completed her Masters degree in Paediatric Dentistry in 2001 at the University of Melbourne. Mala has held positions on various committees including Executive Secretary of the Australasian Academy of Paediatric Dentistry and the President of the Australian and New Zealand Society for Paediatric Dentistry, Victorian Branch. Jonathan Rooke is a private practice orthodontist, with the Melbourne Orthodontic Group. He has a mentored, demonstrated, and lectured with various institutions around Australia and even a short period in the UK. Jono is the current specialist co-coordinator in orthodontics at La Trobe University. Having a strong interest in philanthropy, Jono also chairs the national orthodontic charity ‘Give a Smile’. Dr Mihiri Silva is a Consultant Paediatric Dentist at the Royal Children’s Hospital, a Senior lecturer at the Melbourne Dental School, University of Melbourne and Melbourne and Clinician-Scientist Fellow at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute. Mihiri is the chair of the Australian Dental Association Federal Oral Health Committee, President of the Australian New Zealand Society for Paediatric Dentistry Victorian Branch and Secretary of the Paediatric Oral Health Research Group of the International Association of Dental Research.

Dr Iyer has a continued passion for surgery and periodontics. She graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1992 and commenced her practice Grandstand Dental Care in 1998 with a strong periodontal focus. Dr Iyer has been surgically placing and restoring implants for many years after receiving formal training in Implant Dentistry with the Australian Society of Implant Dentistry in 2005, her Masters in Oral Implantology from Frankfurt University and a Masters in Periodontics from the International Medical College Germany. She is also a Diplomate at the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (DICOI, USA).

Dr Iyer has a real passion for working with patients to achieve the best possible comprehensive outcomes. She offers a range of solutions to help them from full arch dental rehabilitation using 4 to 6 dental implants, sinus lifting procedures, complex cosmetic and periodontal procedures, various non-surgical and surgical procedures including periodontal grafting and the use of Platelet-rich fibrin in the use of periodontal regeneration.

Graduating with honours from The University of Melbourne in 1999, Dr Luan Ngo worked in both public and private practice until 2003 when he commenced a PhD in the field of periodontics, looking at biomarkers for periodontal disease. Dr Ngo completed the didactic component of his specialist training in periodontics in 2009, and since then has been working in both private practice and as an academic at The University of Melbourne. Dr Ngo is currently the convenor of the post-graduate periodontics program at the Melbourne Dental School.

Gina is a pharmacist and pharmacy educator. She completed her PhD at the University of Queensland in 2012 and has worked as a lecturer and course coordinator for undergraduate and post-graduate pharmacy students. She was instrumental in developing and leading a work-based learning program for pharmacy interns as well as developing a credentialing program for clinical educators. Gina is also a dental practice owner and business manager for two dental practices in Melbourne.

Associate Professor Michael Stubbs is an Oral Medicine Specialist treating patients with oral mucosal disease; TMD and other chronic oro-facial pain. Michael also teaches oral medicine at the Rural School of dentistry, La Trobe University.

Dr Michael Stubbs is a dental specialist with both a specialist training degree in Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology. Cathy Snelling has been involved in dental education for 30 years and is still active in dental therapy practice in a ‘remote’ practice in Roxby Downs in South Australia, as well as a specialist paedontic practice in Adelaide. Cathy spent the early part of her career in public dental practice followed by a 20 year tenure at the University of Adelaide where she developed and contributed to the Bachelor of Oral Health program. She has also taught student dental hygienists, dentists and dental assistants and values the role of an effective dental team. During her time as a university teacher, Cathy received many awards including a National Award for University Teaching (2013), Australian Awards for University Teaching Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning (2013, 2017). Her teaching philosophy incorporates a strong evidence-base that she applies to contemporary clinical practice She is a Senior Fellow of the international Higher Education Academy and in 2021, Cathy was made an honorary Fellow of the International College of Dentists. Cathy is looking forward to sharing her substantial experience and continuing passion in the oral health profession with her colleagues.

Dr Haylea Blundell is a specialist Orthodontist and an Associate Professor at La Trobe University. Haylea completed her undergraduate dental degree at Latrobe University in 2014 and worked as a general dentist for three years in the outer suburbs of Melbourne. She completed her primary exams in 2016 and was accepted into The University of Queensland to specialise as an orthodontist in 2018. Haylea has obtained her Membership in Primary Dental Science and Specialist Dental Practice in Orthodontics through the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. Haylea has co-authored a chapter in a recently published textbook, Orthodontic Aligner Treatment and has published two articles in the most prestigious orthodontic journal, The American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics in 2021 and 2022. She currently has another article under review for publication. Haylea’s research has centred around clear aligners. Her research has received worldwide recognition winning 3rd prize at the International Orthodontic Congress in Japan in 2020, the Elsdon Storey Prize through the Australian Society of Orthodontists, the Rising Star award by the Australasian Clear Aligner Society and has presented her research in Japan, New Zealand, America and has been invited to present at the European Orthodontic Society conference in Norway, June 2023.

Haylea is a local to Bendigo and is proud to have returned to her hometown and provide specialist orthodontic care to Bendigo and regional Victoria, establishing her private orthodontic practice Bendigo Orthodontic Specialists in March 2021.

With more than 30 years in the dental industry, Matt Hopcraft is a recognised leader and expert in dental public health and advocacy. He has worked in the Army, private, public dental practices, and is a strong advocate for measures to improve oral health in the community. He is passionate about the mental health of dental practitioners, and co-founded the Mindful Smiles Hub to provide education, support and resources for the dental team. Matt is currently Associate Professor of Professional Practice at the Melbourne Dental School.

Dr Christopher Ho is a Specialist Prosthodontist who received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery with First Class Honours at the University of Sydney. He completed postgraduate studies in the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry in Oral Implants at the University of Sydney, a Masters of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics with Distinction from the University of London and Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics from the University of Sydney. He is Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, Special Field Member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in Prosthodontics and a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. 

Dr Ho lectures extensively on aesthetic and implant dentistry both nationally and internationally. He is a visiting lecturer to the postgraduate programs at the University of Sydney, Adjunct Associate Clinical Professor at University of Puthisastra, Faculty member of the Global Institute for Dental Education and Visiting Lecturer at Kings College London, United Kingdom. He is Head of School of Postgraduate Dentistry at the Australasian College of Dental Practitioners. He is author of numerous publications, as well as Editor of the Wiley textbook “Practical Procedures in Aesthetic Dentistry” and “Practical Procedures in Implant Dentistry”.

Ahmed completed his specialty degree in Periodontics from the University of Melbourne following his 15 years of practice as a general dentist. He graduated from Cairo and then moved to Australia in 2010. Ahmed is a member of ADA, AOS, ASP, and ITI organisations, which helps continuously update his professional knowledge.

Aovana completed her basic dental degree at the University of Melbourne in 2001 and fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS) in 2010, before obtaining the Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry in Endodontics in 2016. Currently, Aovana demonstrates for the dental students at Melbourne Dental School and examines dentists for the RACDS and Australian Dental Council. Aovana is also pursuing a PhD in endodontic education and is actively involved with research.

Carolina graduated from the University Complutense of Madrid in 2006 and worked in the UK until she settled in Melbourne in 2013. There she completed a part-time diploma in clinical dentistry in the field of implants and received her specialist training in Prosthodontics at The University of Melbourne.

In addition to working in private practice at Melbourne Prosthodontic Centre in Glen Waverley and Moonee Ponds, Carolina is a part time lecturer in the fields of prosthodontics and implants at The University of Melbourne. She is the current president of the Australian Prosthodontic Society Victoria Branch and Co-director of the Young ITI initiative.

Dr Carolyn Ng received her Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Melbourne and her Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics from the University of Sydney.

She has provided public and private general dental services in Melbourne and regional Victoria; contributed to the Barwon Health Oral Health Working Party and the RACDS VIC/TAS Regional Committee; supervised undergraduate students in general practice at the Melbourne Dental School; tutored dentists undertaking the FRACDS final exams in orthodontics and mentored dentists in the ADAVB mentoring program.

She is currently working in private specialist orthodontic practice in Melbourne and currently serves as councillor for the ADAVB and ASOVB, as secretary of the Australasian Orthodontic Board and on the Palladian’s mentoring committee.

Christine has a postgraduate degree in Conscious Sedation and Pain Control and is an AHPRA-endorsed conscious sedation practitioner. She has written policy, procedures, and manuals on sedation, is the current President of the Australian Society of Dental Anaesthesiology and has a mobile dental sedation practice based in Brisbane. Christine is passionate about supporting dentists to manages pain and anxiety for their patients, so that they have positive experiences and avoid future phobias.

An experienced prosthodontist specialising in pioneering practical and cost-effective solutions, Dr Chris Hart is well known as an innovator and leader in the profession. After completing a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Melbourne in 1994, he worked as a general dentist all across Australia to gain experience in a variety of patient care environments. He returned to the University of Melbourne in 2001 to do a three-year specialist training program and received a Master of Dental Science.

Dr Damian Teo is an experienced, sleep and bruxism TMJ dentist and the Director of the Melbourne Dental Sleep Clinic. He has a Masters of Dentistry from Latrobe University, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Dental Sleep Medicine from the University of Western Australia. Dr Teo is a member of the Australasian Sleep Association (ASA), and completed extensive postgraduate training with world-renowned sleep medicine and TMJ disorder specialists. 

Daniel is the head of Specialist Paediatric Dentistry at The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne. Daniel completed his specialist training in 2014 at the University of Melbourne, since then he has worked at The Royal Children's Hospital as well as The Royal Dental Hospital and private practice.

With over 20 years in the Dental Industry and always involved in Dental Education, Dr Fabio Fowler (BDS, University of Sao Paulo) had the opportunity to interact and learn directly from some of the great names in our field and to experience Dentistry from many different perspectives: from clinical to business, from scientific theory and lab tests to practical applications. Dr Fowler has presented about dental materials and techniques in over 60 countries, including courses at international congresses and Dental Schools in Latin America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and Africa. Based in Sydney, Australia, he is responsible for Continued Education at Ultradent Products throughout the Asia-Pacific and Africa regions.

Dr Geoff Knight is a general dentist and internationally noted dental speaker with special interests in Minimal Intervention Aesthetic Dentistry. He has pioneered many innovative clinical procedures in aesthetic dentistry and the pharmacological management of caries. He has consulted widely across the dental industry and is named on several patents. He has been published in Quintessence International, Australian Dental Journal and Journal of Periodontal Research. He has produced a series of clinical videos and written numerous articles on aesthetic and adhesive dentistry that have been translated and published internationally in several languages. In 2021 Geoff become a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for significant service to professional dental associations, and to the community.

Hanlie is a specialist Oral Surgeon. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pretoria and her postgraduate training at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. She completed a Fellowship in Craniofacial Cleft Surgery at the Pretoria Craniofacial Cleft Clinic. Hanlie relocated to Melbourne in 2013, and currently works at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne and Hawthorn Specialist Clinic.

Hanlie is passionate about all aspects of Oral Surgery with a special interest in managing Osteonecrosis of the jaws and other cancer-related side-effects through her public work.

Dr. Lan Tran graduated from the University of Queensland in 1995 and moved to her own private practice in 1998. Since then she has undertaken numerous courses in Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry, Pain Management and Endodontics. She took a special interest in Laser Dentistry and is now an Associate Fellow of the World Clinical Laser Institute and a member of the Australian Association for Laser Dentistry (AALD). She is also involved in community health projects and research projects and was a former member of Wrigley's Dental Health advisory board. She is also an Associate Lecturer for the University of Queensland
Dr. Lan Tran has been invited to attend and lecture in various international conferences in the US, Africa, Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia in fields of Community Health, Cosmetic Dentistry and Laser Dentistry.

Dr. Omar Ikram graduated from Otago University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. He also obtained a Masters of Clinic Dentistry at Guys Hospital in Endodontics.
Dr. Omar has served as an examiner for the Final exams at the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and has held leadership positions such as Secretary-Treasurer for the NSW branch of the Australian Society of Endodontology. He has contributed to the dental literature as a reviewer for journals like the Australian Endodontic Journal and the Malaysian Dental Journal. He has achieved significant milestones, such as passing MClinDent and MRD in endodontology with merit, and having a paper published in the International Endodontic Journal.
Dr Omar has also co-created a smartphone and tablet App called ENDOPREP to aid in education and pre-planning of endodontic cases. These tools have built in the American Academy of Endodontists criteria to warn the operator of impending difficulty.
Throughout his career, he has earned accolades and invitations for distinction oral examinations, showcasing his exceptional performance and commitment to excellence.

Dr RL Halili-Castillo obtained her degree in Doctor of Dental Medicine in the Philippines and managed her own clinical practice, Halili Dental Centre. Here she acquired extensive clinical experience and provided a comprehensive range of dental services to her patients. With over 19 years of experience in the dental industry, she is currently the Professional Development Manager of GC Australasia Dental and an international lecturer involved in training and education programs specialised in fibre technology, aesthetics, adhesive, and restorative dentistry.

Dr Sig is a Specialist Orthodontist based in Melbourne with a keen interest in modern and novel approach to orthodontic management. He completed his dental degree from the University of Melbourne and subsequently embarked on his specialist training at the University of Queensland. Encouraged by the ever-changing face of dentistry, Dr. Sig has furthered his clinical exposure with various international residencies.

Dr Steve Soukoulis completed a 2 year diploma in clinical dentistry after finishing his general dental degree. This involved introductory training in most dental specialties, dental trauma and medically compromised patients. From here he entered a periodontal specialty program (clinical supervisor was Dr Kardachi) and completed this in 2001. He has worked with Dr Kardachi since this time. Dr Soukoulis has travelled nationally and internationally for short courses to further his knowledge in periodontics and implantology and bone grafting.   Dr Soukoulis has been the President of the Australian Society of Periodontology (ASP). He is currently a fellow with the International Team of Implantology (ITI) and lecturers both nationally and internationally. He is a member of the ADA (SA branch) and is accredited by the APHRA.

Ian has spent a lot of time in the clinical environment, working directly with dentists and their patients to truly understand the needs of dentists. Qualifying as a Dental Technician in 1981, he spent time overseas learning advanced techniques, before being made Lab Manager and Lead Technician on his return to Australia. Under the guidance of leading dental scientist, surgeon and implant pioneer Dr Olbert Rogers OAM, they developed new techniques with implants and ceramics that shaped the industry and are still relevant today. Operating his own lab for the next 25 years, he recognised the transformation of the industry and in 2014 joined the Avant team. Using his advanced technical and communication skills he built the lab team that keeps Avant at the forefront of crown and bridge implants and removable prosthetic restorations in Australia.

Leah is an Oral Health Therapist working with Queensland Health and has previously worked in private practice and academic settings. She has qualifications in Oral Health Therapy, Public Health and Higher Education with her thesis focusing on mentoring in the Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy program. Leah has completed the Queensland Health Step Up Leadership program and in 2021 was elected as a director of the Australian Dental Council. Leah is passionate about increasing patient’s oral health literacy, ability to access dental care and ensuring that they receive quality safe care. Leah works with numerous organisations to assist with improving the overall health of patients from vulnerable populations.
